SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society
EKU is proud to be a Chapter Member of SALUTE, the nation's only honor society recognizing the service and the scholastic achievements of student veterans.
SALUTE is an acronym of the foundation blocks and core-values of the honor society:
Service - Academics - Leadership - Unity - Tribute - Excellence
You may be eligible to join if you meet the following criteria:
Undergraduate Students
- Qualify as military/veteran student
- Currently enrolled and completed a minimum of 12 course credits
- Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
Graduate Students
- Qualify as military/veteran student
- Currently enrolled and completed a minimum of 9 course credits
- Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5
Benefits of joining SALUTE
- A certificate and military-style challenge coin commemorating membership in SALUTE and specific level of academic achievement
- Wear SALUTE Honor’s regalia to demonstrate academic achievements as a veteran at graduation
- Compete for Scholarships
Invitations to Request to Join SALUTE Veterans Honor Society are emailed each Fall and Spring semester.
