VetSuccess On Campus Counselor

Eastern Kentucky University acknowledges that the successful readjustment of veterans into college and the civilian workforce is a mutual responsibility between the University and the Department of Veteran Affairs.  The VetSuccess on Campus program addresses the needs of veterans and assists them in achieving their educational and employment goals.

This partnership allows the VA to place an experienced VetsSuccess on Campus Counselor, who is experienced in the Veteran Readiness and Employment Services program, on campus full-time, with EKU being only 1 of 96 schools in the nation to have this resource available to veteran students.  The VetSuccess on Campus Counselor assists student veterans with the transition to college life and provides the support needed to increase the chances of student success.  This comprehensive program offers Chapter 36 Support Services (including vocational assistance), career counseling, mentoring, employment assistance, and guidance across a broad scale of VA benefits and health services.

EKU and the VA continue to develop and implement innovative programs and activities for veterans to maximize their opportunities for success, both in the classroom and the workforce.
